Find out what your systems are costing you.

Flat-rate systems diagnostics and fixes for businesses running on disconnected software, manual processes, and aging technology. Findings in 3–5 days — with no pressure to replace everything.

Same-day quote. Clear scope before work starts.

  • $0

for the 20-minute systems review that starts every engagement

  • 3–5 days

business days from kickoff and access to findings in hand

The symptoms

Sound familiar?

Common across retail, restaurants, contractor shops, medical and dental practices, and small multi-location chains — the specifics differ, the friction doesn't.

  • The website nobody's touched in years

It still lists old hours or outdated information, and customers are seeing it.

  • The booking system that talks to nothing

Appointments in one tool, invoices in another — and someone retypes it all by hand.

  • The spreadsheet only one person understands

It quietly runs scheduling, inventory, or payroll. There's no backup, no documentation, and no obvious replacement if that person leaves.

  • The system a freelancer built and left behind

It mostly works. Nobody knows how, and nobody wants to touch it.

  • Thirty subscriptions with overlapping jobs

The software bill creeps up every year, and nobody's sure what's safe to cancel.

What I fix — and build

More than repairs

Once the friction is found, I don't just patch it — I automate workflows, connect systems, and build lightweight custom software where it pays.

  • Automate repetitive data entry

Work someone has to re-enter every afternoon.

  • Connect systems that don't talk

Booking, invoicing, and accounting data moving automatically.

  • Replace fragile spreadsheets

With small tools that don't live in one person's head.

  • Repair inherited software

Custom systems the original developer left behind.

  • Build lightweight internal tools

    When off-the-shelf genuinely doesn't fit.

  • Trim overlapping subscriptions

Keep what earns its fee, cancel what doesn't.

The process

How it works

  1. Book a free 20-minute systems review

We talk through what's slowing the business down, where work is being duplicated, and which systems are causing the most friction.

  2. Get a same-day flat quote

If the problem is clear and contained, I may quote a Quick Fix directly. If it needs investigation first, I'll quote a Diagnostic. Either way, you'll know the price before work starts.

  3. Work starts within a week

Once you approve the quote, we're moving — usually the same week.

What it costs

Flat pricing, quoted before work starts

No hourly surprises. Every engagement is a fixed price you approve up front.

The usual starting point

The Diagnostic

A hands-on diagnostic of your systems and workflows, ending in a prioritized findings report you can act on — with me or with anyone. Most engagements begin here; when the problem and scope are already clear, I may quote a Quick Fix directly.

$500–1,000+

flat, priced by systems audited · findings in 3–5 business days after access

  • $5001 system
  • $7502 systems
  • $1,0003–4 systems
  • Custom5+ or complex

What counts as a "system"? See the definition.

You'll leave knowing what warrants attention, what can wait, and what's fine as-is.

  • Quick Fix

    $250–500 flat

    Single session

One contained issue identified during the Diagnostic — or a clearly defined problem you already know needs attention.

  • Implementation

    from $2,000 flat

    1–3 weeks

A defined project — integration, workflow cleanup, or automation. Scope and price are agreed before work begins.

  • Care Plan

    from $300 /mo

    Rolling

Ongoing monitoring and steady improvements, scoped and billed monthly.

Who you're hiring

Who you'll be working with

I'm Paul Goldman. I've spent over 10 years helping businesses solve technical problems, working across .NET, TypeScript, cloud infrastructure, and the unglamorous work of keeping complex integrations healthy.

That work has spanned Software-as-a-Service (SaaS),healthcare, insurance, financial services, e-commerce, and sports technology — different industries, the same tangled-systems problems.

I live in Mequon, and I started PG Tech Solutions for local businesses that need experienced technical help without hiring a full-time developer or engaging a large consulting firm. I work directly with the systems you already use, diagnose and repair inherited software, quote everything flat, and recommend replacement software only when it genuinely makes more sense than fixing what you have.

Before you book

The questions owners ask first

What does the $500–1,000+ Diagnostic actually get me?

A prioritized findings report: what's costing you money, what each fix costs flat, and what's fine as-is. It's yours either way — use it with me, your own team, or anyone else. Price scales with how many systems are in scope — $500 for one, $750 for two, $1,000 for three to four. Five or more, or an unusually complex environment, gets a custom quote. You're not paying for a sales pitch.

What counts as one "system"?

A system generally means one primary software product and the business workflow being examined within it. Integrations, custom code, multiple departments, unusually complex configurations, or additional workflows may affect scope. Your quote identifies exactly what's included before work begins.

Is the price really flat, or does it turn into hourly billing?

Flat, not hourly. The price is fixed for the agreed scope and assumptions — if new information materially changes the scope, I stop, explain it, and provide a written change quote before proceeding.

How do I know you won't "diagnose" your way into selling me a big project?

The Diagnostic is flat-rate and separate from implementation — you're buying a defined investigation, not feeding a meter. If the right answer is "leave it alone," "call your vendor," or "this is a $250 fix," that's what the report says.

Are you going to replace the software we already use?

Usually not. Replacement means training, migration, disruption, and risk, so my first preference is to make the systems you've already paid for work better together. Changing systems only comes up when keeping one genuinely costs more than replacing it.

Nothing is documented and the person who built our system is long gone. Can you work with that?

Yes. Reconstructing and stabilizing undocumented systems is a core part of my work. I also document what I touch, giving you a clear record for future maintenance.

Who actually does the work?

Me, personally — every call, every fix. You're hiring the engineer you spoke with, not a salesperson who hands the work to someone else.

What if something you fixed stops working a month later?

If an issue results from my work, I will correct it at no additional charge. If a vendor update or an unrelated change causes a new issue, that is separate work, and I will explain the distinction clearly. The optional Care Plan is available for ongoing monitoring and maintenance.

What access do you need, and is our data safe?

Only what the work requires — ideally a separate account with limited access, never your master password. Access is documented and removed when the engagement ends, and the findings report lists exactly what was touched. I also carry general liability and professional liability (tech E&O) coverage; certificate available on request.

Why work with you instead of my IT provider or software vendor?

Different layer. IT shops keep computers running; vendors support their own product. I complement both by focusing on the workflows and connections that cross between their systems.

Twenty minutes. No pitch.

Bring me the problem that's wasting your team's time. In 20 minutes, we'll figure out the most sensible next step.
